Meet us at Paihia Wharf

Carino Wildlife Cruises departs from Paihia Wharf, Marsden Road, Paihia.

Paihia Wharf is in the middle of Paihia township, right on the waterfront. It is easy to find on foot from most Paihia accommodation, and the Google Map above will take you to the wharf area.

Please arrive at the wharf 15 minutes before departure so there is time to check in, meet the crew and board Carino NZ.

Parking in Paihia

If you are driving, please allow extra time to find parking, especially in summer.

There is all-day parking one block back from the waterfront on Williams Road, and there are also public parking areas around Paihia township. Parking can be busy during peak season, so it is best not to leave it until the last minute.

Getting to Paihia

Paihia is in the Bay of Islands, Northland, about three hours’ drive north of Auckland, depending on traffic and stops.

From Auckland, follow State Highway 1 north, then turn onto State Highway 11 at Kawakawa and continue through to Paihia.

The nearest airport is Bay of Islands Airport near Kerikeri, with flights from Auckland. From the airport, you can travel to Paihia by shuttle, taxi or rental car.
